The endodontist receives postgraduate training in the diagnosis and treatment of problems inside the tooth, with the primary goal of preserving natural teeth.
This training, combined with specialized and constantly updated equipment (optical microscope, very low-dose radiation radiographs, painless anaesthesia etc.), makes us the most suitable to treat a wide range of endodontic treatments.
Teeth that have difficult anatomy (very curved or narrow roots, challenging anatomy), patients with limited mouth opening or with a strong gag reflex, dental injuries and cracked teeth, failed endodontic treatments that need improvement (e.g. due to a broken instrument or sclerosed root canals) are some of the reasons that the general dentist may refer you to us.
Finally, our experience in diagnosing dental pain, as well as other types of orofacial pain, can help patients resolve chronic pain in the head area (neuralgia, temporomandibular syndrome, cracked tooth syndrome).
